Tim Downs
President
Tim Downs is President of CLC Lodging (CLC), a leading negotiator of workforce lodging rates for thousands of large and small companies throughout North America. CLC serves businesses in transportation, retail, food service, utilities and specialty construction fields, and provides emergency lodging services for the U.S. Government, utilities, relief organizations and disaster response firms.
Downs was named CLC President in April 2009. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Operations, overseeing all operating activities. Since joining the organization in 1999, he has been responsible for all information technology strategy, development and operations including ongoing enhancement of CLC's TALON (Travel and Lodging Online Network) system.
Prior to joining CLC, Downs was Vice President at Printing, Inc., where he managed more than 75 employees in IT, shipping, receiving, warehousing, graphic design and pre-press. Earlier in his career, Downs worked as an analyst/programmer for DP-Tek, Inc. and Epoch Information Systems. He started his career as Chief Programmer for Pizza Hut, Inc.
Downs holds a degree as a Certified Computer Programmer from ECPI in Wichita, Kansas. He also has a bachelor's degree in management from Kansas Newman College and an MBA from Friends University in Wichita.
